PDN expanding logistics supply chain in Dong Nai province

(Vietnam Logistics Review) Improving service quality through the training of staffs, investing in modern equipment and application of informatics technology to meet customer needs... are the specific development directions of Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company (PDN) to prepare for welcoming opportunities of near future development.

According to the logistics services development plan, Dong Nai province will develop a logistics center network to meet the production demands, the provincial domestic and im-export cargoes circulation and the Southern Key Economic Areas, in which Dong Nai Port plays an important role in supporting transactions among related parties in the supply chain.

To continuously confirm its position as one of the key links in the logistics system of the province in particular and the region in general, PDN has given specific development orientations in 2017 focusing on key activities such as: improving continuously services quality by training staffs, investing equipment and bringing informatics technology into the management and production aimed at meeting customers needs timely.

Thanks to the improvement of production and business management, organization structure and human resource stabilization, the operation result in the first five months of 2017 have exceeded the plan given by Shareholders. Specifically, the total revenue in the first five months reached VND200 billion, reaching 45.45% of the plan, exceeding 30.53% compared with the same period of last year.

Long Binh Tan Port, the branch of PDN, is linked to deep-water ports, creating advantages for good transshipment to neighboring industrial zones, reducing 50% for time, 30% for costs with one time clearance for customers wishing to im-export cargoes and raw materials in Dong Nai area. In near future, the route from An Hao bridge through Buu Hoa bridge to National Road No.1K will be completed, creating hub among National Road No.51, National Road No.1 and National Road No.1K, connecting three Sothern provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the selection of Long Binh Tan Port for cargo transshipment will bring many advantages for customers.

In addition, Go Dau Port, a branch of PDN, has also been invested modern equipment system in receiving 30.000 DWT vessels, handling goods by Macgregor crane having lifting capacity of 40 tons, reducing cost for current services supply chain. In 2017, Go Dau Port has further expanded 4,0 ha storage downstream, and it is expected to expand another 30.000 DWT berth linking B4 and B1 to serve the increased cargo handling and transporting needs.

PDN has invested full port system in the strategic location with total area of 79.84 hectares so far, including 8 wharves having capable of vessel receivable from 5.000 DWT up to 30.000 DWT, domestic and bonded warehouses with a total area of 21.250m2. At the same time, PDN has continuously bought modern equipment, bringing informatics technology into management and production activities in order to increase the efficiency of operation and cost reduction, improving services quality services to meet customers’ demand via the development of logistics services such as: waterway - roadway - airway transport, support services to provide customers with full logistics service chain supply nationwide. In 2017, PDN strives to achieve the target of 440 billion dong revenue and 72 billion dong profit before tax.

Through the infrastructure basis to be invested in right direction, logistics chain supply is also being gradually improved linking all PDN’s strengths, bringing to customers using services at PDN a completed supply chain.

Tối 22/5/2019, Thư viện Khoa học tổng hợp Đà Nẵng phối hợp với Hội Doanh nhân trẻ TP. Đà Nẵng đã tổ chức Phiên chợ sách 2019 lần I với chủ đề “Sách là bạn”. Đây là hoạt động văn hóa, xã hội có ý nghĩa được tổ chức thường niên nhằm tôn vinh, khẳng định vai trò và tầm quan trọng của sách trong thời buổi công nghệ hiện nay.

Ô tô nhập vào Việt Nam tăng mạnh trong nửa đầu tháng 5

Theo thống kê sơ bộ của Tổng cục Hải quan, trong nửa đầu tháng 5 vừa qua, đã có 7.611 xe nhập khẩu vào Việt Nam, trị giá 163,4 triệu USD. Như vậy, kể từ đầu năm 2019 đến nay đã có 58.295 ôtô nguyên chiếc nhập khẩu vào Việt Nam, đạt kim ngạch hơn 1,289 tỷ USD.
