(VLR) The outbreak of coronavirus has been considered a test for governments of countries, for individual responsibility to their community. Vietnam has been considered a sample in fighting against the disease by the world opinion. Unification, compassion, obedience spread out in people.

Until April 28th, there have been three million people in the world infected by COVID-19, a million recovered and 200,000 people died. The number showed the pandemic has no sign for its end. Experts predicted global GDP growth probably reduces 1.5% - 1.9% the lowest one in the past 30 years.

In Vietnam, the disease has been well controlled. After 12 days in a row (from April 16th- April 28th), there has been no new case of infection, 48 cases being treated. Social paces of life are getting normal: students are preparing to go back to schools; enterprises are preparing for plans for their recovery and developments.

The outbreak of coronavirus has been considered a test for governments of countries, for individual responsibility to their community. Vietnam has been considered a sample in fighting against the disease by the world opinion. Unification, compassion, obedience spread out in people.

The disease caused great impacts to enterprises’ activities and the economy’s growth. But take an active look, it is an opportunity to boost up the process of shifting economic structures with more sustainable and longer-time policies, avoiding being dependent to a number of leading economies in the supply chains. It indirectly boosts up digital trade- a catalyst for enterprises going digital. Going digital is an urgent objective request currently and for latter time.

Vietnam has been appreciated by the world community for its ability to deal with the pandemic and it attempts to maintain economic growth and social security. It is a chance for people to believe in the leadership of the Party and the Government with the two targets “Fighting the pandemic to protect the people and maintaining economic stability for developments when the pandemic ends”.

A spirit of overcoming difficulties, creativity from enterprises, appropriate policies and guidelines by the Governments, opportunities from free trade agreements as EVFTA and CPTPP… are favorable conditions for Vietnam’s steps of economic recovery.
