MASKargo opens new cargo transport flights between Vietnam and Malaysia

MASKargo Airlines of Malaysia (a cargo transport sector of Malaysia Airlines, MAS) starts the first cargo transport service flight from Vietnam – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 12th, 2012.
Wide-body A330-200 Freighter’s are being used with a frequency of 2 flights/ week on Tuesdays and Saturdays (and vice versa) from Saigon to Kuala Lumpur with transits at Bangkok (Thailand). An A330-200 Freighter with the capacity of up to 60 tons (400cbm) meets cargo requirements of markets of Vietnam’s and regional countries’. Cargo from Vietnam will be transported through Kuala Lumpur to Europe, Middle East, India and Australia.
The transport route is to meet the increasing cargo needs between Kuala Lumpur and Vietnam and is to be considered as addition to activities of a passenger fleet from Kuala Lumpur – Vietnam with a frequency of 30 flights/ week (3 flights/ day from HCMC and 10 flights/ week from Hanoi).
