On the morning of March 13, 2025, Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai Port (TCTT) successfully welcomed the OOCL Bauhinia, one of the largest vessels ever to dock at a Vietnamese port. With a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 165,311, the OOCL Bauhinia operates on the PVCS service route of COSCO/OOCL, directly connecting Vietnam with major ports in the United States and Asia.

At the welcoming ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Hung, Director of TCIT Port, stated that this event not only highlights the port’s capabilities but also opens up new opportunities for cooperation with major global shipping lines. He emphasized that TCTT will continue investing in infrastructure, improving service quality, and optimizing operational processes to become a leading transshipment hub in the region.
