(Vietnam Logistics Review)Since 2009, after 7 years of the journey through 95 cities of 20 countries all over the world, in early 2016, Vietnamese Buddhists are honored to worship The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace at Phap Van Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh city. After Phap Van Pagoda, the statue is expected to continue the tour to the central and The North of Vietnam.
The Jade Buddha on a tour for universal peace
The Jade Buddha for Universal Peacewith 3.5m height and 4 tons weight, including a lotus-blooming throne and intact block of nephrite jade, becomes the largest and most respectful Buddha statue in the world, which was carved delicately from a giant boulder of gemstone-quality jade. The Jade Buddha image was modeled after the Buddha statue at the MahabodhiStupa in Bodh Gaya – India because this statue is universally recognized to all Buddhists around the world. With giant size and illuminated beauty, the Jade Buddha has been awarded as one of the world’s wonders.
Originated from a dream of Lama Zopa Rinpoche when seeing the jade source in Canada and with his spiritual encouragement, the Buddhist, Ian Green, spent time to direct the project to carve and polish this Jade Buddha statue by heart. The jade boulder was transported from Canada and carved in Thailand.
After the Jade Buddha carved, Ian Green coordinated with Buddhist associations to exhibit the great jade statue in a journey travelling through many coutries. With a notion that the Jade Buddha is for everyone, not defining religions, each person could spend time to worship and bow before the Jade Buddha to think about peace in the world, peace in relationships, peace in their family and friend, peace at work and most importantly peace in your heart.
In 2009, Vietnam was the fist country received such an honored opportunity to welcome the giant Jade Buddha for Universal Peace. After 7 years, the Jade Buddha has travelled over 300,000 km and through 95 cities of 20 countries in the world, attracting more than 8 million Buddhists around the world to come for chanting and worship. In early 2016, Vietnam Buddhist has had one more chance to view the holy Jade Buddha at Phap Van pagoda, Ho Chi Minh city. After Phap Van pagoda, the Jade Buddha is expected to continue its tour to travel through other pagodas in the Central and the North Vietnam. This tour in Vietnam is planned to last for 1 year.
Asia Trans with a special cargo
Asian Trans is a logistic enterprise, usually providing multi-modal transports and services, domestic and international transportation, ship agency, customs declaration, international express courier etc.
In 2009, when the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace prepared to be exhibited in Vietnam, many domestic logistic enterprises seemed to be disconcerted when required to quote and provide transport alternatives for this special cargo. Not only considering about its size and weight, the religion, belief and devotion issue of all Buddhists for the Jade Buddha is the biggest issue which can affect on security and safety of the trip.
As a predestined affinity, Asia Trans was selected by Ian Green to become a true partner in the Jade Buddha transport. With good experiences in multimodal transport, Asia Trans provided the whole package service from a shifting of the Jade Buddha from exhibition location to the transport means to transport safely the statue to other locations upon request. Also, other issues relating to license or customs clearance were undertaken by Asia Trans.
Asia Trans called this transportation of the special cargo as “A Journey of Faith”. The faith Asian Trans mentioned here is not only Buddhism’s spiritual belief but also a trust of customers. Ensuring the safe and soul of this special freight is the way that Asia Trans wants to bring the best quality services to customers.
