VTRUCK: Comprehensive solution for intelligent transport

Besides, online transport is a form of transparent information of enterprises’, leading to healthy competitions on prices, service quality, which will bring mutual benefits to both shippers and transport enterprises. Transparent information facilitates fair competitions, helping cut costs and increase service quality. VLR’s journalist had a talk to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Director of Vietnam Trucking Corporation about the intelligent solution.

U&I Logistics started a new service called VTruck to catch up with the current trend of modernization. Can you tell about the benefits it brings to customers?

Technologicalizing transport is a development plan by U&I Logistics to make premises for a strategy of combining traditional logistics and e-commerce. VTruck was founded in May 2014 to implement the idea.

VTruck is an online application in form of e-commerce that brings modern experiences and benefits by connecting needs of users’ by the website vietnamtrucking.vn and the application Mobile VTruck. Shippers, vehicles owners and organizations, individuals providing transport-related services as rescue, parking, repair, registration, gas stations, spare parts, insurance… even buying, selling, exchange are able to meet each other here, and do transactions.

The trend of developing e-commerce of the transport sector’s has drawn attentions. VTruck is a pioneer in the field. Can you tell about the difference of VTruck’s that has made the brand. How much it has done to replace the form of traditional transport?

Transport technologicalization in Vietnam is a new form. Like others, VTruck, when building the application, wants to connect shippers, vehicles owners and other related services in Vietnam: with an internet-connecting device, they are able to meet and exchange their own services.

In my opinion, the difference by VTruck is the base VTruck has been building and it is also the answer to the question “What was VTruck born for?” VTruck always aims to the connection and to create a “Comprehensive solution for intelligent transport”.

VTruck has been improving the base and helped others get familiar with the intelligent form of transport transaction. The VTruck’s main target is building and improving the base, therefore, it has been taken a small part in the traditional transport market.

What other services VTruck has developed as supplement to its existing quality?

Together with improving solution to connect shippers and vehicles owners, VTruck has been building other transport related solutions as helping drivers find parking lots, gas stations, repair centers, rescue and registrations…

Besides, VTruck offers tools for each member so that they can build a store of their own to promote and sell their services on VTruck.

VTruck has been operating for a while. Can you tell about the increase in the number of visitors and customers using the service?

The number of vehicle owners, shippers and assisting transport service providers who subscribed have remarkably increased and there have been more transactions between shippers and vehicles owners.

Vietnamtrucking.vn has around 5,000 session monthly, as calculated by Google. There have been 20,000 pageview, including 80% of existing customers and 20% of newly-visited ones. VTruck aims to reach 100,000 view monthly and 500,000 pageview in the time to come.
