Vietnam is the country with sea advantages: 3,260km of coastal length, located on international maritime route, having deep sea ports and many bays of different sizes, a million km2 of EEZ and 3,000 islands of all sizes. Vietnam is capable to be a strong sea country. To make the target realistic, there should be a completed sea logistics system, improvements on transport system connecting island to the land, and making good use of coastal economic zones.

In addition, we also have the East - West Economic Corridor, which goes through 13 provinces and cities of 4 countries: Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar, bringing opportunities to connect regional tourism. With variety of customs and practices, biological systems, the corridor has great potentials in goods transport, tourism and trade activity developments. Therefore, governments sharing the corridor should recognize its advantages, remove barriers and make important changes for common developments and prosperity.

Potential and opportunities in various fields and sectors are vast. A successful government should have a great vision showing through proper policies: making good use of the national economic force, knowing well and responding to international needs, building an active business community with strong economic groups and having people’s trust for a sustainable development.
