More outsourcing for more efficiency

(Vietnam Logistics Review) Vietnam economy has had impressive development year-over-year: the GDP growth of 6.91%, the first-six-month growth of 7.08% - the highest 6-month record since 2011. Experts said the result was thanks to positive impacts from both outside and inside factors of the economy. The sectors of industry and exports have remained a driving force. In the first six months of 2018, the national export turn-over estimatedly reach USD 113.93bn- an increase of 16% year-over-year.
The Government also confirmed Vietnam’s good economic growth was thanks to contribution from the logistics sector. Finding logistics outsourcing service help to cut cost and improve competition abilities for manufacturing, import-export enterprises, in the Decision no.200/QĐ-TTg, the Government set the target to 2025: outsourcing rate should reach 50%-60%. And in the Decision 19-2018/NQ-CP, the Government affirmed it is necessary to foster logistics outsourcing.
From impressive figures and his own viewpoint, a Governmental member suggested Vietnam logistics sector, import-exporters, and shippers should foster logistics outsourcing and find it a key assignment in the year of 2018. And with specialized activities, State’s management offices and logistics enterprises should dissect reasons leading to inadequate developments of the sector, analyze potentials and opportunities of development and discuss to find solutions to make logistics business environment in Vietnam more efficient…
The fact Vietnam logistics enterprises have actively taken part in regional and international activities of the sector as Field Meeting - Regional Asia - Pacific, Tilog Logistix, FIATA World Congress… also brings more opportunities of connecting and sharing experience from developed countries and helps Vietnam logistics sector shorten distance in integrating to the global environment.
