IUV with a vision to become a multi-disciplinary, multilevel training university with application orientation. The university has gradually met national and regional standards, gained prestige and quality. It is expected to contribute human resource to sustainable socioeconomic developments in the key economic zone of the Central and of the country as well. And it is also its duty to become an educational institution that provides the society with high quality training products, which also contributes to the progress of industrialization and integration as well.
IUV set the target of training a leading generation of citizens with good professional knowledge and serious professional sense: those responsible to themselves, to their families and to the society; those having good skills and having learning spirit in the global integration environment. IUV always puts emphasis on the spirit of “learning with practice”: students having more experiences and partly having orientation for their career paths in the future. Students are offered chances to visit factories for observation and real experiences.
PhD. Tran Manh Ha, Acting Principal of IUV said: “The University always accompanies student through the courses to help them become good citizens, good engineers, good bachelors who have enough skills and knowledge to take part in the global labor market. Together with professional knowledge, practical experience and proficiency in at least one foreign language, students of IUV are also equipped with soft skills and integration skills as well. Implementing comprehensive connections with enterprises, IUV committed to 100% student having practical learning and has been trying to have 95% of students have jobs after graduation”.
Promoting training coordination and international cooperation
Ha said the important of the university from the school year of 2020 - 2021 is to promote international cooperation, scientific research, contributing to sustainable developments of the university.
Awarding of scholarships
Students are equipped with foreign language, computer skills, and supporting knowledge as communication skills, behaviors, self-control skills, time management, group work, self-study method, and scientific research method… Thanks to the good relationship between the university and enterprises, students always have opportunities to practice at companies of production, business, and service, especially at those with foreign investment capital to see new technology being applied in production.
IUV has had connection and cooperation with many large enterprises and training institutions as VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd., Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Luxshare- ICT Co., Ltd., (Nghe An), and the Science University of Hue… These are favorable conditions that help students increase their knowledge and skills so that they are able to have jobs suitable to their major when graduated. Students doing internships at large enterprises have priority to be chosen to work for them after graduation according to agreements signed with the university. In 2021, IUV will promote the implementation of the project of Improving Vietnam’s Education System to Support Graduates’ Ability to Find Jobs and Start-up Skills (so called V2WORK). The project is a part of the Eramus Program, funded by the European Commission. The project includes members: (1) The European side: Alicante University (Spain) - Coordinator, Coimbra University (Portugal), FH Joaneum FH (Austria); (2) the Vietnam side: the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AIESEC Vietnam Social Co., Ltd., Hanoi University of ScienceTechnology, IUV, Danang University, Nha Trang University, Tay Nguyen University, HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanity, Thu Dau Mot University and Tra Vinh University.

The V2WORK project has been implemented for 3 years, from March 2018 with two goals: (1) Modernizing career support services of 8 Vietnam’s university by building ability, working skills and entrepreneurship shop to promote start-up spirit among students; (2) Strengthening cooperation between the university and enterprises through building mechanism promoting active participations from enterprises to the Vocational Center.
