Vietnam has achieved significant success in international trade integration, particularly through wide-ranging free trade agreements (FTAs). However, an emphasis on the quantity of agreements over the quality of commitments has left Vietnam’s integration strategy lacking depth. In an increasingly complex global economy, Vietnam needs to shift its approach from merely reducing tariffs to fostering deeper trade integration to maximize economic benefits.
