Modern Scale, Strategic Location
The Chan May Logistics Center is planned and built on an area of 33.62 hectares within the Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, a location of strategic geographical significance, situated between major urban areas such as Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An. It is directly connected to vital transport routes such as National Highway 1A, the North-South railway, and the La Son – Tuy Loan expressway. The project encompasses a wide range of facilities including general warehouses, cold storage, an operations center, delivery areas, technical zones, container yards, customs services, e-commerce logistics, and multimodal transport.

Additionally, the center will feature modern management technologies such as a Warehouse Management System (WMS), smart operational software, and a green logistics model aimed at sustainable development. It will serve as a hub for gathering, distributing, and transshipping goods for both domestic markets and exports via Chan May Port—one of Vietnam’s major seaports with great potential. With a total investment of VND 1,500 billion, the center is considered one of the largest logistics projects in Central Vietnam to date.

“We recognize that logistics is not merely a link in the supply chain, but a critical infrastructure foundation that promotes sustainable economic development. With the prime location of the Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, a gateway to the East Sea along the East-West Economic Corridor, the Chan May Logistics Center will be a major infrastructure highlight, facilitating trade connectivity and cargo transshipment while supporting import-export activities for both the Central region and the nation,” said Mr. Tran Duc Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LEC Group.
Boosting the Economy and Creating Jobs
Once operational, the Chan May Logistics Center will not only enhance supply chain competitiveness for regional businesses but will also act as a driving force for the development of many related industries. The center is expected to directly create jobs for approximately 500 technical and management workers, while indirectly generating employment for thousands more in transportation, warehousing, support services, import-export, digital logistics, and e-commerce.
Furthermore, the project contributes to the local economic transformation toward industrial and service sectors, gradually reducing dependence on traditional agriculture. Establishing such a large-scale logistics center will turn Hue City and surrounding areas into key transit hubs, attracting secondary investors and manufacturing enterprises seeking to relocate their supply chains post-pandemic. Additionally, vocational training centers and universities in Hue will benefit from new opportunities to develop specialized logistics training programs aligned with market trends.

Close Collaboration, Rapid Implementation
LEC Group, the main investor in the project, is a well-established enterprise in the fields of energy, logistics, and industrial infrastructure. At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Tran Duc Tuan – Chairman of the Board of Directors of LEC Group – affirmed: “This project is not just a logistics center, but an essential link in the Asia-Pacific regional supply chain, especially as it fully leverages the advantages of the East-West Economic Corridor.”
The government of Thua Thien Hue and the Management Board of the Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone have pledged to provide maximum support in administrative procedures, infrastructure connections, and land clearance to accelerate construction progress, aiming to bring the center into operation by Q4 2026. Additionally, the provincial government plans to integrate this center into regional economic development strategies and foster inter-provincial logistics links with Da Nang, Quang Tri, and Quang Binh, forming a synchronized and efficient logistics chain.
A Strategic Turning Point for Central Vietnam
The launch of the Chan May Logistics Center is not only a tangible step in Thua Thien Hue’s logistics development strategy but also reflects a long-term vision to elevate the economic position of Central Vietnam’s coastal region. With strong coordination between the government and the investor, the project is expected to become a model for modern logistics centers in Vietnam, contributing significantly to the goal of logistics accounting for 8–10% of national GDP by 2030.

“LEC Group is committed to a methodical investment, applying the most advanced technologies in warehouse management, multimodal transport, and green logistics operations to meet international standards. We will make every effort to complete the project on schedule, ensure high quality, and commence operations by 2026,” said Mr. Nguyen Khanh – CEO of LEC Group.
Beyond its role as infrastructure, the Chan May Logistics Center carries strategic significance in shifting growth models, promoting innovation in supply chain management, and fostering a transparent, attractive investment environment. With a strong foundation from policies and a firm commitment to investment, this project is expected to be a key breakthrough that empowers Central Vietnam to not only serve as a “connecting axis” but also emerge as a “strategic destination” on the regional and global logistics map.
