(VLR) (Vietnam Logistics Review) A strong economy should derive from a diversifying business community with sustainable development.
A strong economy should derive from a diversifying business community with sustainable development. In the meeting between the Prime Minister and Enterprises 2017, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc- Prime Minister- emphasized: “Enterprises is an important based to boost the economy”. The 5th Conference of the Party also stated: “Private economy is the main driving force of the economy”. Therefore, it is an important duty these days to facilitate the development of over 600,000 enterprises of all size and to make Vietnam a investment-attracting place.
The issue of cross- border transport with countries in the East- West Economic Corridor has never been received urgent and serious consideration as these days. If the issue solved, it will help to cut costs and bring great benefits to llogistics enterprises and to the whole economy. Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA) has had positive activities to increase goods exchange between Vietnam and other neighbor countries with various conferences on cross- border transport between Vietnam- China, Vietnam- Cambodia and with meetings and promotions on transport activities on the East- West Economic Corridor.
The country’s economy has been integrating with other regional and the world economy with economic events as Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2017 with Vietnam as a host, with initial implements of agreements on economic developments of Asia Economic Community (AEC) or with signing the number of Free Trade Agreements… Although there are challenges from integration, opportunities for economic development will be great as well.
To catch up with opportunities and to deal with challenges on time, each enterprise, each sector cannot stand alone with their own business practices. There should be connections, active impacts to developments of various sectors, to various fields of economy. In the mutual development, State’s Ministries and Sectors have to give proper policies, facilitating enterprises’ developments.
When enterprises become an inner force of an economy, a country can thrive.
