(VLR) (Vietnam Logistics Review) It is hard to imagine the twist and turn of the history without a particular point. Having a look at photos on cities, factories of Saigon’s, Hanoi’s, Danang’s at the milestone of April 30th, 1975, anyone can find the great change after a fourdecade time when the country has reunited into one.

Many can argue that the improvements, the changes have not been equal to expectations of people. And just have a look to regional countries around us and see how remarkable developments they have made.
Saying so is not wrong. However, the comparison is not fair and inaccurate for all comparisons are likely to be invidious.
I, myself, think each country has its own fate and not all the things we want to be alike can easily mix with each other even concepts of integration, of globalization and of a “flat world” today.
A country needs to choose its own way to go compatible with its own characters and able to communicate with the rest of the world.
At the end of 2016, Vietnam GDP of the year had an increase of 6.21%, not reaching the target of 6.7% by the Assembly. There were many criticisms on the Government’s ability to operate the country’s economy. It was also the time that World Bank announced the Logistics Perform Index-LPI (every two years): Vietnam had 2.98 points, ranked 64/160- 16 rank lower to the year of 2014. I felt uneasy that day when I was at Vietnam Logistics Forum 2016. A businessman from a far-away Korea coming to Vietnam for chances of investments in the field of warehouse and transport asked me various questions on planning, transport human resource, expenses and capital of Vietnam logistics enterprises’. My answer: the matter is we have changing our awareness. When they find themselves weak, they become less weaker. A seed today can be a big tree in the future.
Not denying other efforts, not having too much private thoughts, adding more belief, more sympathy and connecting each other, we will have a strong logistics sector, a sustainable economic development and a prosperous country for our own people.
