754 B2B sessions and a multi-channel exhibition–trade “ecosystem”
The conference took place at WTC Expo Convention and Exhibition Center and was chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City Supporting Industries Association (HASI), in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, CSID, VASI, VISA, and organizing partners. Within the framework of the “Supporting Industries Exhibition - Forum and the 2025 Supply Chain Supply–Demand Linkage Conference,” the event recorded 3,394 check-ins and 754 B2B matchmaking sessions (212 at the business matching zone, 505 conducted directly at booths, and 37 online).
Alongside the matchmaking program, more than 200 booths showcased products by industry clusters - mechanical engineering and manufacturing; plastics and rubber; electrical and electronics; printing and packaging - featuring 849 new component products, equipment items, and technical solutions. On the digital platform, the exhibition attracted 10,773 visits and 9,499 booth views.
iBizConnect “before–during–after” connection to match the right partners
At the conference, HASI Chairman Vo Son Dien stressed that as global supply chains are being reshaped, Vietnamese enterprises - especially suppliers - need to proactively approach strategic buyers to enhance competitiveness and engage more deeply in global value chains. To support this goal, HASI deployed the iBizConnect digital trade platform: prior to the event, participants could search profiles and schedule appointments; during the event, data was updated in real time; after the event, connections were maintained so that brief meetings could grow into long-term partnerships.
In addition, the supply - demand linkage program - through direct dialogue and negotiations - enabled suppliers to connect with 23 strategic buyers. During the conference, five Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) were signed among relevant parties.
From “qualified supplier” requirements to solution sets for SMEs and supporting industries
The discussion session “Strengthening Business Connectivity - Accessing Supply Chains” clearly outlined core requirements for becoming a qualified supplier: investing in quality management, building cluster-based linkage models, improving technological capacity, ensuring competitive costs, and delivering reliably. Speakers also highlighted opportunities to develop strategic component products over the next three to five years, while pointing to three groups of criteria commonly assessed by major manufacturers: technical capability, quality management, and stable financial capacity.
On the same afternoon, the workshop “Enhancing SMEs’ Capacity to Participate in Industrial Supply Chains” covered topics including the private-sector economy, financial management, modern governance strategies, the application of artificial intelligence in international trade, and green growth development, with the participation of experts and representatives from relevant organizations.

With its multi-channel organization and the end-to-end use of iBizConnect before, during, and after the event, the 2025 Supply - Demand Linkage Conference went beyond “the right people meeting the right needs,” laying a foundation for long-term supply chain partnerships. More importantly, the accompanying discussions and workshops clarified the capability criteria that supporting-industry enterprises and SMEs need to strengthen to expand their opportunities in industrial supply chains and advance further up the value chain.
