(Vietnam Logistics Review) Tilog-logistix 2016 exhibition with the theme “Unifying the powers of ASEAN+6 logistics”, that will be placed at Bitec, Bangkok, Thailand in sept 2016, will be an opportunity to enhance supply chain, strengthen business for logistics service providers and logistics technologies in Vietnam and other countries of the ASEAN +6 group.

To support transport infrastructure, enhance the special connectivity of Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce had organized Tilog – Logistix exhibition for 12 years. Tilog – Logistix 2016 is the second time that DITP co- organized with Reed Tradex Co. Ltd. – an international focal point of over 10,000 import-exporters, producers, warehouse owners and logistics operators in ASEAN +6, where can find logistics technologies and services like material treatment, warehousing, automatic operation system and other service and software providers.

Talking about cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and Thailand, Mr Visarn Chansate, president of the Thailand Logistics Provider Federation said that, both Vietnam and Thailand can work harder to develop partnership. Thailand has full ability to become a center of logistics in ASEAN region. The economic development of AEC will increase demands for Thailand logistics services in this region, especially cross-border trade and commercial logistics has been predicted to be widen significantly. As the second export ranking countryin ASEAN, Thailand plays its important role in the development of supply chain in this area where is more and more complicated, particularly under circumstance of satisfying all trans-border logistics services. These services include transport of machines, equipment, elements or tools as well as supply chain management services from a stage of finding suppliers to a stage of seeking distributors.

As evaluated by Mr. Visarn Chansate, Vietnam could be a destination for investors in ASEAN +6 countries where Thailand is a hub for connectivity, hence two countries can be partners to develop sophisticated logistics infrastructure and services, strengthen global transport network and increase logistics added- value solutions. Tilog – Logistix 2016 is a theme for the discussion between two countries, creating connectivity to enhance the further business development.

Refers to the topic “Unifying the Powers of ASEAN+6 Logistics”, Mr. Do Xuan Quang, Deputy director of Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), said that ASEAN +6 was the most attractive market in the world. The management of Vietnam’s supply chain has been significantly improved thanks to Government’s policies and the perception of entrepreneursabout international integration. However, level of Vietnam’s preparation and AEC or ASEAN+6 integration was still low in comparison with Thailand. Vietnam needs more sophisticated logistics infrastructure and services, particularly added-value logistics solutions. Vietnamese government has promoted logistics through more investments in ports, highways and airports, and created more favorable conditions for cross-border trade, implemented national single window procedure toward an ASEAN single window. The associations should also implement simple administrative procedures to provide optimal conditions for trade and investment. Tilog – Logistix 2016 is undoubtedly background to help Vietnam to achieve the success.

According to Mrs. Duangrat Udomsomporn, Managing director of Reed Tradex Co. Ltd., shared that the exhibition of Tilog – Logistics 2016 with the topic “Unifying the Powers of ASEAN+6 Logistics” could bring an opportunity to Vietnam’s enterprises with business network and the best practices in logistics field and supply chain management, then to improve competitive capacity of international trade and enhance the regional development.
