This year’s event will mark a milestone for cross-border corporations in the context of the new Strategic Partnership entered by the 2 countries last September.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will host the Vietnam – Singapore Business Forum 2014 (VSBF 2014) from 04 to 06 June 2014 at Duxton Hotel Saigon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The business forum is organized with support from the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam, Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), and Singapore Business Group (SBG) in Vietnam among other government agencies.

VCCI Vice President, Dr. Doan Duy Khuong shared, “VSBF 2014 is an important annual event which will contribute significantly to the success of multifaceted bilateral cooperation relations between Vietnam and Singapore, especially after the two countries reached the Strategic Partnership Agreement in 2013. This is also a practical platform for businesses to promote international economic integration as we move towards the formation of an ASEAN Economic Community by 2015”.
Singapore’s Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Ng Teck Hean, said that VSBF is a valuable platform for the business sectors of the two countries to network and interact. Business links are a key component of the bilateral relationship, which had been elevated to a Strategic Partnership during Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s visit to Vietnam in September 2013. The Strategic Partnership identifies new opportunities for cooperation, while enhancing existing areas of collaboration such as trade and investment, finance, education and human resource development. VSBF 2014 will help further strengthen the robust economic relationship between Singapore and Vietnam.
VSBF 2014 is held as a three-day business forum aiming at providing a practical business platform for companies in Vietnam and Singapore to explore cooperation opportunities between the two economies. Panelists and participants include an exclusive group of business leaders, industry experts, policy-makers and government officials from both Singapore and Vietnam to provide professional insights and updates on business opportunities in Vietnam and Singapore.
VSBF 2014 will focus on five panel discussions which will be moderated by industry leaders, experts and government officials centred on five key topics: financial services cooperation, agriculture and aquaculture production, tourism and hospitality, real estate investment, and environmental management for sustainable business development. Participants will also take part in business networking sessions while browsing through the exhibition booths, with an option to attend site visits to industrial parks in Binh Duong.
