Following the successful arrival of the first vessel, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) continues to affirm its vision of developing an integrated port-logistics ecosystem in Southern Vietnam by welcoming the SINAR BINTAN vessel on April 7, 2025. This is not only a milestone in strategic cooperation but also a significant step toward enhancing the nation's competitive edge.

"Extended Terminal" and a Strategic Partnership Affirmed

On April 7, 2025, SNP successfully handled the second vessel at Phuoc An Port (PAP) — the SINAR BINTAN VOY 896N operated by SAMUDERA shipping line, with 744 TEUs safely and efficiently loaded and discharged. This event took place just 10 days after the first vessel’s arrival on March 28, 2025, underscoring the practical effectiveness of the strategic collaboration between SNP and PAP.

Phuoc An Port is gradually becoming an “extended terminal” of Cat Lai Terminal and other SNP-managed ports in the Cai Mep area. This integration optimizes the supply chain, shortens delivery time, reduces shipping costs for clients and carriers, while also enhancing port operation efficiency and ensuring seamless cargo connectivity between Vietnam and global markets.

Expanding the Logistics Value Chain in the South

Beyond operational success, this development signals the emergence of a modern, integrated logistics ecosystem in Southern Vietnam’s key economic zone. Amid global uncertainties and growing demands for speed and flexibility in the supply chain, the SNP-PAP partnership offers a strategic solution to elevate competitiveness.

The decision to route vessels through new ports like PAP reflects SNP’s long-term vision in building efficient transport routes, relieving pressure on central terminals, and creating new opportunities for international carriers to access dynamic satellite ports with robust infrastructure and excellent connectivity.

From Strategic Partnership to National Logistics Advancement

As Vietnam accelerates its trade and deepens economic integration, building strategically connected logistics hubs is a must. The partnership between SNP and PAP goes beyond business cooperation it plays a role in shaping the national logistics infrastructure. This is a model many nations are adopting, where ports are not isolated entities but integral links in the global value chain.

With professional operational capabilities, a strategic vision, and a continually evolving service ecosystem, Saigon Newport is asserting its pioneering role in steering Vietnam’s logistics sector toward a new era sustainable, smart, and highly adaptive.
