DIFFICULTIES FROM LABORERS
Employees operating in the logistics seem to be affected in different ways in diffculties from the pandemic: many lost their jobs; some suffered from diseases and limitations as tight managements in the time of the epidemic. They had to undergo medical check-ups, and a lot of paperwork, which makes transport slow and costs higher.
After the pandemic, customers seem familiar with online ordering and home delivery. If before the pandemic, ‘logistics’ was still a strange word, but now, customers not only in Vietnam and all over the world know clearly about it.
This is an advantage but also a big challenge for transport, especially delivery men, they need good health, technology skills and are able to apply technology in locating address, receiving orders from applications. In some European countries, UAVs or automatic trucks have been used for last-mile delivery instead of delivery men.
ENTERPRISES SEEKING LABORERS
Facing serious shortages of labor resources, southern provinces and cities have participated in job session to look for new human resources- an effective method to help enterprises acquire labor resources, but save time and recruitment costs.

In the context of the Industry 4.0 with artificial intelligence, the internet, and modern tools that are changing the world, logistics human resources, in addition to specialized capacity, also need foreign language skills, computer skills and so skills to adapt to market changes.
According to the Workshop “Developing a stable labor supply chain after the Covid -19 pandemic”, the reported figures showed challenges of economic recovery, including a severely reduced labor supply. The labor force from the age of 15 and over decreased the most in the third quarter of 2021, to only 49.1 million people; The labor force employed in the fourth quarter of 2021 was 49.07 million people, 1.79 million people lower than the same period last year.
The rate of underemployed and unemployed workers increased sharply, reaching the highest peak in the third quarter of 2021 with 3.98% (more than 1.7 million employees); the unemployment rate in urban areas was highest in the third quarter of 2021 at 5.54%.
