In the chilly atmosphere of the year’s end, thousands of locals and visitors gathered to explore, enjoy, and capture beautiful moments with family and friends. This event is not only an annual cultural highlight but also a symbolic representation of the city’s dynamism, creativity, and heartfelt spirit.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, emphasized: "Nguyen Hue Flower Street is not just a unique cultural event but also a symbol of a modern, creative, and compassionate Ho Chi Minh City, heralding new achievements and hopes for 2025."

From the welcoming gate to the artistic miniatures along the entire street, every detail has been meticulously designed to convey the message of "The Dance of Unity" – a triumphant anthem and a spirit of solidarity directed toward the future.

Vibrant Spring Colors Through Snake Mascots and Artistic Diversity

In 2025, Nguyen Hue Flower Street witnessed the impressive return of the snake mascot, representing the Year of the Snake, with the standout duo Kim Ty and Ngan Ty displayed at the entrance. These mascots were elaborately crafted with striking dimensions: Kim Ty, 42 meters long, gracefully coiled in three fluid loops, and Ngan Ty, 25 meters long, embodying softness without losing its inherent strength. This year’s mascots uniquely blend tradition and modernity, with "Nang Ty" (Miss Snake) wearing a conical hat and a checkered scarf, reflecting the Southern Vietnamese culture, creating novelty while staying connected to the essence of Vietnamese life.

Beyond the snake mascots, this year’s Flower Street also features approximately 90 models of the snake in various shapes and expressions, adding a lively and captivating touch to the entire display. The artistic installations not only carry high aesthetic value but also showcase the ceaseless creativity of the design team. Additionally, the depiction of a metro train – a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City’s significant advancement in the new era – is seamlessly integrated into the miniatures, presenting a meaningful springtime tapestry.

The Essence of Vietnamese and International Cultures in a Creative Space

Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2025 not only celebrates the beauty of Vietnamese cultural traditions but also opens the door to international exchange through the presence of 10 floral art booths from various consulates. Countries like the United States, the Netherlands, Laos, Italy, Indonesia, South Korea, Russia, China, Thailand, and the United Kingdom contributed unique floral arrangements that showcase their cultural identities. This diversity enriches the overall appearance of the Flower Street and underscores Ho Chi Minh City’s spirit of global cooperation and integration.

A particularly exciting highlight this year is the appearance of two interactive robots named Bong, embodying strength and elegance. Equipped with LED screens displaying cheerful facial expressions and multilingual New Year greetings, these robots bring joy to children and embody a seamless blend of modern technology and traditional values in the Tet celebration space.

A Hub of Cultural Values and City Pride

The Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet 2025 has created an emotional space that connects people with art and culture. It is not only a familiar destination for locals and tourists each spring but also a symbol of creativity, innovation, and integration. The harmonious combination of traditional and modern elements, as well as local and international influences, has crafted a vibrant springtime painting, reflecting the beauty of Vietnam’s land and people.

This event not only enriches the spiritual life of the community but also serves as a testament to Ho Chi Minh City’s relentless vitality, solidarity, and aspiration for continued development in the years to come. Amid the radiant flowers and lights, this year’s Nguyen Hue Flower Street truly becomes a gathering place for joy, hope, and dreams of a peaceful, happy New Year.
