A 15-Year Milestone: From River Port to Modern Logistics Hub
The anniversary celebration, held on the evening of April 3, welcomed representatives from central and local government agencies, Ho Chi Minh City authorities, Nha Be District, leaders of Saigon Newport Corporation, partners, customers, and shipping lines. In a solemn atmosphere, Major Pham Thanh Son – Director of Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc Port JSC – reviewed the 15-year journey of formation and development.
Covering an area of 17 hectares, the port operates two container berths and four barge berths on the Soai Rap River, with the capacity to receive fully loaded vessels of up to 50,000 tons. From a newly established facility, Hiep Phuoc Port has become a vital link in Saigon Newport’s port ecosystem, serving as a solid "rear base" for Cat Lai and Cai Mep terminals, contributing to economic growth in southern Ho Chi Minh City.

Moreover, the port has pioneered the application of advanced technology in management and operations. Systems such as TOPO, HRM, Maximo, and applications like e-port and Golive are synchronized in real time, optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing overall management capacity.
In the dynamic landscape of Vietnam’s logistics sector, Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc Port stands out as a prime example of a military-run enterprise that combines efficiency, modernity, and humanism. Not only focused on technological investment and operational excellence, the port also spreads its values through meaningful community activities—creating a distinctive identity that is admirable and worth emulating.
