Impressive 2024 Achievements
In 2024, despite global economic challenges, Saigon Newport Corporation achieved remarkable growth, surpassing its production and business targets 40 days ahead of schedule. The total container throughput reached 10.81 million TEUs (up 10.1%), equivalent to nearly 160 million tons of cargo. Total revenue hit 32 trillion VND (up 15.6%), with total profits nearing 7 trillion VND (up 32.5%). The company contributed 2.672 trillion VND to the state budget (up 28%), capturing a 55.2% market share of Vietnam’s import-export container handling.
Additionally, Saigon Newport demonstrated strong social responsibility, contributing nearly 100 billion VND to community initiatives such as housing support for underprivileged families, in alignment with government, Ministry of Defense, and Navy directives. These efforts have further bolstered public trust in the Party and State’s policies.

For its outstanding achievements in fulfilling political and social responsibilities, Saigon Newport Corporation has been recommended for the Prime Minister's Emulation Flag, recognized as a National Brand for the 8th consecutive time, and honored as an "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" for the 6th time.
2025 Lunar New Year Operations
To support production activities during the 2025 Lunar New Year, over 1,100 workers were mobilized per shift at Tan Cang - Cat Lai Port. During the first week of the Lunar New Year, the port is set to handle 76 ships with a throughput of 110,000 TEUs, equivalent to over 1.5 million tons of cargo (up 9% compared to the 2024 holiday period). On New Year's Eve alone, the port handled seven container ships, processing nearly 10,000 TEUs (about 140,000 tons), signaling a strong start for Vietnam's economy in 2025. The first container after the ceremonial launch was loaded onto the CNC CHEETAH, a CMA-CGM vessel with a capacity of nearly 2,900 TEUs. Its journey from Cat Lai (Vietnam) to Shekou, Dalian, and Ningbo (China) carried electronic goods, a key export that contributed to Ho Chi Minh City's total export turnover of over $46 billion last year.

Strategic Vision for 2025
To sustain growth and innovation, Saigon Newport Corporation has outlined a strategy to expand its operations across five key pillars: port operations, logistics and marine economic services, industrial zone investment, coastal tourism services, and offshore renewable energy development. The company aims for a 5% increase in core economic indicators (revenue and profit) and over 15% growth in logistics alone compared to 2024.
In his remarks, Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai commended the corporation's contributions to the city's development and expressed hopes for even greater achievements in the future. He affirmed the city's commitment to administrative reform, fostering a favorable investment environment, and advancing its logistics development plan through 2030 to strengthen the city’s port infrastructure.
Community Contributions
During the ceremonial launch, Saigon Newport Corporation donated nearly 3 billion VND to support the “For the Poor” fund in Ho Chi Minh City and its localities.
