VIFFASs training program on supply chain management meets world standards

(VLR) In the scope of FIATA 2012 World Congress in Los Angeles, California, the U.S on October 8th – 12th, 2012, Vietnam delegation (Logistics Institute of VIFFAS) successfully defended a training program on Supply Chain Management according to FIATA Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management.

In the scope of FIATA 2012 World Congress in Los Angeles, California, the U.S on October 8th – 12th, 2012, Vietnam delegation (Logistics Institute of VIFFAS) successfully defended a training program on Supply Chain Management according to FIATA Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
The Ceremony on Receiving Certificate of Recognition was solemnly hold on October 12th, 2012 in Hotel of Hayatt Regency Centry Plaza California Ballroo, Avenue of the Stars, LA, CA, the U.S. The Certificate was signed by both Mr. Stanley Lim –President of FIATA - and Mr. Thomas Sim – Chairman of FIATA’s Advisory Board of Vocational Training, and was received in presence of Mr. Do Xuan Quang - President of VIFFAS – and Mr. Tran Chi Dung – Head of Training Board of Logistics Institute.
This is the 8th certificate in the world and also the 3rd in the Asia-Pacific (after Singapore, and Taiwan) issued by FIATA and given to national associations which have training program on supply chain management designed to meet FIATA standards. The certificate guarantees attendees who finish the course of Supply Chain Management in the Logistics Institute will have “Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management” by FIATA and will be recognized widely by logistics and forwarding associations of 153 member countries worldwide.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM
The training program is officially named “VIFFAS/FIATA Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management”.
The program is aimed at training world-class supply chain management experts who are able to hold key positions in logistics companies or large-scale manufacturing businesses: experts on designing, operating, supervising, analyzing and managing supply chains; directors of logistics companies, and distribution centers; heads of purchasing department, planning, transport management, and market development…
The content includes 7 modules and a research project at the end of the course: (1) Supply Chain Management, (2) Global Marketing Management, (3) Production Operation Management, (4) Global Purchasing Management, (5) International Transport Management, (6) Finance Management, (7) Contract Management, (8) Final Project.
The course includes 229 hours, and its syllabus is designed for part-time learners, which will last 6 months.
Attendees can be key personnel and management staff of logistics services providers and related businesses with at least 3 years experience or students and staff members with certificates on International Forwarding Management or Logistics Services Management.
With VIFFAS/FIATA Diploma in International Freight Management, Logistics Institute has had training programs of all levels ranking from basic (Diploma) to advance (Higher Diploma) according to FIATA standards, which will surely meet the needs of those interested in logistics and supply chain management.
