Lion Island Nation to receive 11 "Made in Vietnam" modules

The Singapore Project SPRING project was signed with DL E&C on June 27, 2022 includes 26 modules weighing 2,039 tons. The largest module is 14.6m high, 31m long, 7.5m wide and weighs 171 tons.

Two months after signing, Doosan Vina and its subcontractors have started manufacturing and erection. Up to now, the entire project has reached 95%. In which, the first 11 modules weighing 1,226 tons have been completed and transported onboard to deliver to the Cariflex IR Latex Asia Phase-1 project in OUE Downtown, Singapore. The remaining 15 modules are currently in the Insulation and Final Walk Down phases. As planned, they will be sent to the Lion Island Nation next month.

Once installed, these modules will become the facility of the Cariflex IR Latex Asia Phase-1 project in OUE Downtown, Singapore.

“I have worked experience with module fabricators many times. However, I have never seen this kind of good system and organization. All the members of the SPRING project made a good performance to succeed our project without any complaints. It was very impressed for me.”, the Module Manager of DL E&C Mr. Jang Hyun Seok who is supervising the project progress at Doosan Vina said.

He went on to say, “If Doosan Vina has more customers and expands the business, Doosan Vina will be the best module fabricator.”

Besides, Doosan Vina has been supplying 39 modules for Ruwais Refinery in UAE, 35 units for the Sarawak Methanol Plant in Malaysia and coming is 18 units for the Golden Triangle Polymers project in Texas in USA, and 4 units for the North Field Expansion Project EPC-2 in Qatar.

Module is currently one of Doosan Vina's key products. Besides this project, Doosan Vina is preparing to produce 18 more units for DL E&C to install at the Golden Triangle Polymers project in Texas, USA.

In addition, Doosan Vina is also erecting 4 modules for Samsung C&T customer to install at North Field Expansion Project EPC-2 in Qatar.

To date, Doosan Vina has been supplying 122 modules for international customers including 39 modules installed at Ruwais Refinery in UAE and 35 modules for Sarawak Methanol Plant in Malaysia supplied to Samsung Engineering customer. These two projects were completed in March 2020 and December 2022.
