AI Agents in logistics: from task support to supply chain coordination
AI in logistics is entering a new phase. In the past, companies mainly used AI for data analysis, demand forecasting or route optimisation. Now, AI agents open the possibility of automatically performing a chain of tasks: reading data, comparing options, recommending actions, sending alerts, scheduling, updating systems and supporting operational coordination. The issue is not to let AI “replace” people, but to redesign how humans and machines make decisions together.
