Currently, six Doosan Vina engineers and technicians are working at the Gemalink port and cooperating with the investor's Korean experts to conduct the final technical inspection before handing over two cranes number 1 & 2 (docked on July 07, 2020) for the customer and will receive two cranes number 3 and 4 which are expected to arrive on September 11, 2020. The process of receiving, testing, commissioning, and transferring technology to the operators usually takes more than a month.

According to the design, the Gemalink port is one of the most crucial cargo transshipment centers in Southeast Asia and is a smart port. All information and data in the crane operation process will be transmitted directly to the Port Operation Center through software systems, ensuring control of each container position in the yard. The port will be equipped with six RMQC cranes and 18 RTGC cranes to serve its first phase capacity of 1.5 million TEU/year. Construction and installation of all cranes and other equipment are expected to be completed in October, ready for test run in November 2020, and officially put into operation in early 2021.

Two cranes number 1 and 2 were handed over in early July 2020 and are currently in the process of testing, commissioning and technical transfer to Gemadept - CMA CGM customer.
